SHORTNOSE
WRASSE JUVENILE Macropharyngodon geoffroy (Quoy & Gaimard, 1824) I get more questions about this and juvenile Psychedelic Wrasses (Anampses chrysocephalus) than just about any other fish. Tiny juveniles of both species are quite common in the summer, especially on O`ahu's north shore. They hover in protected spots, usually in small groups, and are so tiny it's hard to figure out what they are. Photo: Lana`i Lookout, O`ahu. 30 ft. |
