Euryleptid?
B
Paul Okumura found this worm in a tidepool at Ho'ona Bay, Kona, Hawaii, in July 2015. There is nothing resembling it on the Newman-Cannon CD and we haven't found anything quite like online either. It could easily be new. Prominent marginal tentacles suggest the family Euryleptidae. The burnt-orange median stripe is discontinuous and culminates in a spot. The white dorsal surface is covered in extremely fine orange spots except in a band along the margin. The cerebral eye spot cluster is flanked on each side by a crescent-shaped orange mark. The long upright tentacles are orange darkening to burnt-orange at the tips. More photos
of this worm would be welcome.
