Body
elongate oval, raised medially, wider posteriorily. Dorsal surface covered
with minute papillae, reddish
brown to dark olive-green with numerous small scattered whitish spots
of various sizes and shapes, sometimes indistinct, but fewer on margin
and on median ridge. Edge of margin largely devoid of white spots. Pseudotentacles
(or tentacles?) small with whitish tips. (If true tentacles, might belong
to family Euryleptidae.)
Nothing exactly like this appears on the Newman & Cannon CD. It
somewhat resembles Pseudocerotid 8 on the CD but that species has a
narrow black marginal rim.
Scott Johnson
has photographed a
similar species at Kwajalein.
